A partnership supporting the future of agriculture
On Wednesday, October 21, 2026, Jean-Jacques Bolzan, Deputy Mayor of Toulouse in charge of the Candie municipal agricultural estate, Christophe Aubé, CEO of Agreenculture, and Irène Oubrier, Director of the Agri Sud-Ouest Innovation competitiveness cluster (with the support of the Occitanie Region), signed a partnership agreement.
Domaine de Candie: A Real-World Testing Ground for Agricultural Robotics
This partnership aims to establish Domaine de Candie, owned by the City of Toulouse, as a leading testing site for agricultural robotics.
As France's largest municipally managed agricultural estate, covering nearly 250 hectares, Domaine de Candie is making its fields available to Agreenculture to test autonomous agricultural machines and tractors under real farming conditions, including tractors, inter-row vineyard robots, sprayers, and more.
Bringing Agricultural Robotics to a Wider Audience
The partnership also includes educational demonstrations, professional meetings, and public events to showcase innovations in agricultural robotics and make these technologies more accessible to a wider audience.
A Collaboration Driven by an Innovation Ecosystem
This partnership was initiated by the Agri Sud-Ouest Innovation competitiveness cluster, which brings together a network of nearly 400 public and private organizations, including businesses, universities, and cooperatives involved in agriculture and food production.
The partnership also builds on economic cooperation agreements between France and the Netherlands focused on agricultural innovation. These agreements were formalized in 2025 with the signing of a memorandum of understanding in the presence of the Dutch royal couple.
